The LA Sports Awards, in its 20th year, celebrates the best of the year in sports in the greater Los Angeles Area. Presented by the Los Angeles Sports Council Foundation 501(c)(3), the event recognizes the top sports moments and personalities of the year. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Council's most important program, Ready, Set, Gold!, a community health, fitness and social and emotional learning program that promotes healthy and active lifestyles to children in Southern California schools.
The show, presented in front of a live audience since its debut in 2005, has recognized some of the most hallowed figures in Los Angeles sports history, including Clayton Kershaw, Dave Roberts, Mike Scioscia, Peter O'Malley, Jerry West, Paul Gasol, Chris Paul, Phil Jackson, Doc Rivers, Jeanie Buss, Aaron Donald, Sean McVay, Landon Donovan, Cobi Jones, Luc Robitaille, and Olympic heroes including Allyson Felix, Kerri Walsh Jennings and Misty May-Treanor, Lisa Leslie, Adam Krikorian and Peter Ueberroth.

The LA Sports Awards Premiere Party, an exclusive event at Hyde Sunset where LA’s sports and business leaders will celebrate the top moments and personalities of 2021, will be hosted on March 7th, 2022. The Honorees and Top Sports Moments will be announced before the program airs the following day, March 8th at 8pm on Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum SportsNet LA.
Part of the proceeds will benefit Ready, Set, Gold!, a community health,fitness, and social and emotional learning initiative that promotes healthy andactive lifestyles to children. The program matches local Olympians and Paralympians withschools in Southern California to help inspire students to set and achievepersonal goals supporting them on a path to life-long well-being and improved academic achievement.
